  7. The optional TC-15 and TC-15M are high-speed, easy-to-use tape controllers
  8. offering backup rates of more than 8 MB per minute when used with the
  9. company's JUMBO 250 low-cost, high-performance tape drives.  The TC-15 is for
  10. use with ISA- and EISA-based computers while the TC-15M is designed for use
  11. with Micro Channel based computers.  Both tape controllers use the Intel 82077
  12. high-speed floppy controller chip to enable data transfer rates of up to 1 MB
  13. per second.  This compares with the transfer rate to 500 KB per second
  14. typically found on PCs.  In addition, both controllers employ STAC hardware
  15. data compression chips that offer QIC-122 standard hardware data compression
  16. without sacrificing system backup speed.  These technologies allow users to
  17. typically reduce backup time by a factor of four.  Both the TC-15 and the
  18. TC-15M offer jumperless auto-configurable installations to set address, DMA,
  19. and IRQ selections.  This feature greatly simplifies and speeds installation.
